Hey STEPH !! GREAT NEWS ! Very good online IN the Box Reveiw. Well done really.
Another AWESOME RODEN LARGE SCALE WWI KIT !! Looks like another detailed interior in line with their Se5 releases. Noted is the seperate Octagonal Radiator part instead of the ussual one piece molded rad/nose cowl part SPAD Kits are ussaly made with.
These early versions are often ignored by the mainstream market vice the late/end war versions. But these were important planes in and of themselves becuase they were first there was lot of fighting accomplished with them.
The SPADVII Profiles are one of the most numerous and varied having been a popular exported fighter as well.
I'd expect I wll receive a nice sized box of kits from one of their Hobby Suppilers soon then we've had our order on hold unitl Roden Finally deleivered this one.
I cant WAIT to learn how they will round this series out next !!!
Yours MIke

WOW! This looks like another awesome large scale effort by Roden. Thanks for the review link Stephen. I have the Special Hobbies 48 scale VII that will now never get built. I now have to make room for second 32nd scale build (first being Roden's nice Pfalz D.III). Well now I have to call my local plastic pusher to order the Spad.
I see Roden have adopted Eduard's strategy from their SPAD XIII kits of having the turtle deck as a separate part in order to avoid losing important detail when sanding seams. This looks like a very good model indeed. I could be tempted to buy one but given I have good SPAD VII kits in 1/72 and 1/48, I probably won't.
yet another Direct-from-Rodenplant Group Buy, I have 3 on the way Since rudder stripes & roundels are not that difficult to cut from solid color decal material, the first just may have to be Belgian
