How to make scale wicker seats ...

I've looked all over, googled my tail off, searched this site and not been able to find either of two articles I recall which told how to make scale wicker seats. There are some archival Aerodrome posts with links, but they don't seem to work anymore.

SO - anyone have any references on making wicker seats? TIA for any help!

The sane way would be to get a set of p.e. seats if they've got them in the scale you're working in.

But, for the adventurous, a photo or two's in the Camel section of Ken's WWI page in the above link.

Wicker seat close-ups

Here are some close-up shots. I have some of just the frame work; let me know if interested and I can post them as well.

Seat Frame work

The image notes are for reference; if anyone has a question just post it. This does take a while to build and some patience.

I did a wicker seat for my Sopwith Baby. Here is a link. http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Hun...eatattempt.jpg
and http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Hun...ndseatdone.jpg

I did not weave the seat plate as you can see. I will weave it for the Bristol Scout I am building now.

Also Tom Morgan did a very nice seat for his DH-2. Here is link.
