Thumbs up Great work

Great work, Bob.
Very nice woodwork and general interior. Can't wait to see the rest.
What livery will it be in?

All the best

Thanks for the kind comments one and all.

Keld,
I was going to do...

But the masking got the better of me on my dummy fuselage, so this leaves me with no idea what I will end up doing. There is much to do before I start worrying about that little problem.

The silber grau is going to be a mix and match job. Looking at many of the photos in books and on the web, the silver dope looks similar to Alclad II's White aluminum. Am I near? Or way off? Would the dope have a silver metallic look? Or mono tone flat?

I look forward to keeping you guys updated.
All the best,
Von Buckle

Silverdope
Not knowing if I´m right but I used Humbrol white, grey and a tiny slab off silver to get the spark.

Wow - looking good. I should like to se this built as a model!

Don't know if I'm right either, but I have earlier tried to put some silver in a light grey. Looked quite good to me. Almost the same as Lars' beautiful finish.

Thank you
Keld

Bob,

Try two parts silver to one part white for silbergrau.

I used it on my Pfalz D-IIIa.

Ken,
Thanks for the info.
I will try mixing Citadel paints Methril silver and bone white... let the fun begin!

P.S I never get tired of looking at your DIIIa
