My Gallery
Thatis a myth!

Gentlemen:
That is a myth, there werenot two German Naval hexagon patterns. The ABB specifically definesthecolors as grey-brown, grey violet and grey blue. The other colors were a figment of someone's imagination, before the correct data was not available.
Grey Skies,
Dan-san

Mr Dan-San its realy an honor for me to have your valuable informations here at this thread.
I took the chance to ask you one more question, i hope you dont mind,
all the photos i have seen also at the mini Datafile and the one with the aircraft crash at the sea shows the large hex scheme. I wonder if that was hand painted or fabric?
And if it was hand painted was the same colors as you mention above?
Onse again thank you very much sir.

Dear Dan

Not to HiJack this beatiful W4 Build thread in to a Naxal Hex lesson ?

1. But were there very slight Hue Changes in the Upper 3 color Naval Hex from April 1917 and as of APril 1918 ? Only not enough to mention ?

Or

2. were the changes between those years more about the common Underside /OverALL Colors of Naval Planes ?

Going from Grey/Blue & Light Grey & Naval CDL to Grey/Blue & Light Blue & Naval CDL ?

Yours Mike

Dimitris,

Your build is coming along great. Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge. All of us are learning a lot. It will be a real "eye-catcher" when it's completed. Excellent workmanship.
