DH-2 rigging diagram help

Hello folks, and happy new year. I am trying to find a detailed rigging diagram for the DH2, and have not had any luck on ebay with any old publications thus far. Does anyone have any suggestions, or better, a diagram they could share. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Here are the Eduard rigging diagrams for their kits, both scales.

Page 12

As to their accuracy.....

Its a good place to start, however.

mriccio,

I have four (4) sheets of Rigging Notes from Air Technical Services, dated 1918. Please e-mail me (dstaha@msn.com), and I'll send them to you.

Leatherhead:

Are the Eduard diagrams very different for your originals?

Rob,

They are in close agreement. The only thing I see missing from the Eduard diagrams you provided are the flying wires (inboard/outboard) between interplane struts. The ATS notes have a lot of text on incidence, dihedral, stagger, etc. Also, you have given page 10 twice. Maybe the missing wires are on page 12.

Hi,

I have corrected the link error. p12 now works.

Thanks.

Ive seen some pictures of a wire running above the upper wing, roughly from outer front strut to outer front strut. Is that in your diagrams?

Have you seen anything like that?

My Gallery
Derek..might I get a look at your diagrams? Im working on a 3D model of the DH-2. So coincidently this information is rather helpful. zoysgig@gmail.com

Datafile 48 has some nice drawings too.

And has anyone ever bought plans from the Smithsonian's web site? They have plans for a ton of planes. I wonder if they are worth looking at.

TIA
