I note that there are THREE top decking pieces.
Are they doing three different versions? ???

If I might say so, they're doing wonderful things at Roden. I've only built two of their kits, but I plan on expanding on that considerably.

Hey Folks, I'm neither a 1/72 nor S.E.5 fan, but for those of you who are, I have a copy of Scale Aircraft Drawings- WWI which has 5 pages of plans and markings data for said kite, drawn by William Wylam, especially good for you "Alberto Casirati Types" (you know, cram a whole bunch of microscopic details into an incredibly tiny model). If you're interested, contact me off-forum. Regards, Rob

Vince 14:
* Major Edward Mannock is officially credited by the British Royal Air Force with 73 victories. *So why shouldn't Roden credit Major Mannock with 73 victories. *
* It is some writers ,who for there own reason or agenda, have decided otherwise. *They cannot prove their arguments against the 73 claims. It is no more than supposition on their part. The same is true for Major Billy Bishop, he is credited with 72 victories.
* * * * * * * * * * * * *Blue skies,
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Dan-San
P.S. I am waiting for my S.E.5a kits to arrive.

Hi!
I've seen it, I've even touched the plastic sprues.
Looks very good, maybe even better than Roden's Albies.
I haven't bought it, as it never flew in Austrian markings
But I'm waiting for the second version, for MacCudden "G" - I can't stand building a plane with "G" on it.
Cheers!
G.

I now have the kit. Probably the best that Roden has done to date in 1/72nd.
Dry fitting will probably be the key with the nose pieces.
The fuselage is almost scale "thin". I cut the fuselage halves off the sprue just to see how it would hold together, and wow! Very flimsy because it's so thin. Very nice. You can assemble the fuselage halves and then add the cockpit pieces. Makes for detailing the cockpit a lot easier.
Highly recommended. Watch next month's Internet Modeler for a longer in-the-box preview.
