Greetings all: *This will be a bit off topic but still worth high notes of praise. The series of photos that you will find at this URL will show you a 'Scratchbuilt' USS Texas. Published originally in Finescale modeler by its builder Derek Brown You just may be amazed by the craftsmanship applied. *As a long standing member of IPMS Rob Wolf (Denver CO.) Derek's work has been a source of inspiration to many of us here.

My Gallery
I saw that issue and photos. Great model.

I built a 5 1/2 foot long scratch model of a rail car ferry about 5 yrs ago and know what a large task it is to build ship models from scratch. I don't think I would ever attempt another one and would rather have my evenings for 6 months back!
