1/36 Fokker DIII scratch build

i wanted to see if this idea worked, transparent wings and fuselage. so i had to make the parts out of clear plastic and make a clear dope linen decal for in side and out side of the aircraft. i had a lot of problems to over come and a lot of ideas to test ,so basicly this model is one big test, 90% of the model is decal, the CDL ,M/G's fareted jacket and bullet hole patchs all are decal the rest is paint . and i had to come up with a clear body filler so light will pass through the decal.

first is making of the molds and vacuforming them in clear plastic{ i started a thread on how to make your own vacuformer} the clear plastic pulled very well and had a benafit of being able to mark stuff off the plans with the plastic fuselage over it real time saver.but with the glue test i did the clear plastic didn't glue very well, at ALL, so i used some pvc thinner from work { the clear type for thinning pvc glue for insulation pvc jacket}and the stuff glued fast and strong, weld on would work i think
