I am looking to build an accurate model of Fokker DVII U-10. Any info or photos would be highly appreciated. Thanks,
Paul M

Hi Paul,
*
* As to colour notes, this aircraft had a fuselage painted a slate grey with nose, tailplane and cabane struts painted chocolate brown. The fin and rudder finished in white. The rest of the struts factory grey-green with wheel centre's in OAW mauve/ green finish. The axle wing and forward cockpit coaming were left in standard OAW mauve/green factory finish.
* Dr. Brian Flanagan examined the original fabric from this aircraft and he noted the fabric covering the underside of the fuselage was left in 4 colour lozenge factory finish as were the wings. I did not find a rib tape colour noted, but Ray Rimell has appeared to have used 4-colour lozenge cut into *rib tape on his colour depiction of this aircraft in Albatros Productions " Fokker D.VII anthology 3".
The "U.10" marking appears on both sides of the fuselage ,the port side in *quotation marks. This marking is repeated on the top wing in quotation marks. The small number 20 painted on the fin is also a German marking.

pmirl:
I have a 1/72 scale drawing of Ltn. Heinz Frhr.von Beaulieu-Marconnay's Fok.D.VII(OAW)4635/18in black and white that provides all the details regarding colors, locations of "U.10", seam locations of the 4 color fabric, tapes, sizes and location of the crosses, etc. It is $4.00 + $1.50 for P&H, Catalog No. Js65-50.
Blue skies,
