A question on shipping charges for Wingnut kits .

I'm curious how much would shipping cost to the U.S.A from NZ ?
The reason i'm asking is the introductory free shipping will end one of these days.Anyone care to help me out.

USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service)

Look at your shippng label for the wieght and return address and measure the Box. At least you can figure out what 1st class /Priorty / Express Mail Rates are TO NZ which may give you a ball park of what they are having to pay, but they appear to have a Bulk econmy carrier ?

Yours mIke

Using the Junkers kit size & weight it would cost the following to the US (according to NZ Post website):
International Economy Courier - $33.02
International Air - $19.33
International Economy - $16.44
Quite interesting that Wingnuts has shipped all three of my packages using International Economy Courier, which is one of the fastest, and most expensive shipping options! They are giving us quite a deal for free! Note that the above is for postage only, and does not include packaging materials and International tracking numbers (which is an additional fee).

Yes Shipping is VERY high these days. Mind Boggiling. IN Fact their will be another U.S. Postal RATE INCREASE MAy 11th.

Thanks for the NZ Rates. What ever their Arrangement,

1.) I can't beleive a top rate operation such as they have demonstarted so far would have offered the Postage inclucded IF it were not already carefully calculated into their cost structure / priceing.

2.) For future Reference I PRAY along with all their US and other Internatioanl fans the World Over THAT for Business sake they will permanently adopt their shipping included pricing for ALL of their future releases.

Postal Rates like that would not only take some of the highest bench mark Kit prices on the market for WWI Large scale kits and Most certainly Take them Well up and above what ANY of us could afford ?

If the Day comes they retract thier shipping offer perhaps it will conicide with a change in their sole source marketing policy as well and they will allow distributors/supplier to purchase wholesale to midagte those charges by bulk ?

Just some thoughts ?

Yours Mike

My Wingnut days will be few and far between when they do start charging for shipping. Through no fault of Wingnut, UK postal service and customs have lighten my wallet by another £52 for 3 kits. Looks like I will be sticking with 48th after all.

Cheers,
Bob

Similar. Dutch customs took 34 euros off me (the F2b kit worked out at 54 Euros, before import duty). Can't afford another with that sort of hit, free shipping or not, and excellent as the kit is.

IMNSHO, I can't see Wingnuts taking a $30 hit on shipping forever. IMNSHO, free shipping is only a special introductory offer (as stated on the website). Even so, I'll still buy all Wingnuts offerings, but I'll just do the cheapest shipping option. I can wait the 10-25 days delivery time!

I have no problem with Wingnut charging shipping, in fact, I welcome it. The more money they can pump back into the business the better.

Cheers,
Bob

The free shipping is definitely a nice hook! I can see buying 2-3 of the DVIIs when available, but I imagine S&H will have to be factored in by then.
