Hello Epee,

I meant just to have it look like normal dark "something" between the panels. Using the clear Expert's Choise decal paper made it possible to fill the division lines with lead pencil lines and very thin dark brown paint before application of the decals. As opposed to the white decal paper, where one has to do it afterwards, which is much more tricky.

I haven't used any setting solution on neither the clear wood decals nor the Roden crosses. Both are very thin and work very well without.

Thanks,
Kofoed

A great build!

Absolutely love the woodgrain! Really convincing.

I can't say that I've been happy lately with the decals printed from my HP 7960 printer with Micromark paper. Not crisp or opaque enough although it could be me. Are you using the stock or their Vivera line of inks? Might be time to upgrade. Maybe to a laser but just can't justify the investment just to print decals.

Salute,
Steve

Thanks!

Thank you very much, guys.

Steve, I'm sorry it doesn't work on your HP. I don't know anything about Micromark paper, but the difference can't be that big, can it?
I use the Vivera colours on mine, and I set it to "Best Quality" in the "Preferences" when I print. This way it goes much slower, but I've got time enough to wait.

Thank you very much for your kind remarks, Doug and Stephen. They are very much appreciated.

Last night I got the wing crosses on. There's no white outlined ones in the kit, as these are intended to go on a white square, but my son very generously sent me his from his WNW LvG. Fits perfectly.

Cheers,
Kofoed

Very well done, Kofoed. D.II is also my favourite one in the Albatros family...
