Eduard 1/72 Nieuport 17=>21 "srpska avijatika"

Somehow I forgot to mention this build I was working on for quite some time (more than a year now )...

Srpska avijatika (Serbian avionics) used lighter version of Ni.XVII, Ni.XXI C.1, which differed from original in weaker engine (80HP Le Rhône 9C), different engine cowling (like on XI / XVI) and rear fuselage (no head-rest). This light version was on the western front used for training and usually had only wing-mounted Lewis gun.
During 1916 and in the beginning of 1917 it belonged to squadrons N.87 and N.91 (N.387 and N.391), stationed at Salonika front.

I've built this version, belonging to N.387 squadron of Srpska avijatika, based at Vrbena aerodrome at the end of 1916.
I converted Eduard's kit by cutting and flattening rear fuselage. Luckily Eduard gave both engine versions and 3 types of cowling, therefore I only had to pick the right one .

Unfortunatelly I didn't take photos of work in progress until lately , so here are photos of the finished model, for your pleasure and comments

and some more details...

Everything is brush-painted, using mix of Vallejo ModelColor paints to obtain metallic dope, and MM metalizers...

Dobra Dan, Profa!

Congratulations on a very nice Nieuport. Beautiful paint finish: I could never do that well with a brush, and so had to go to the airbrush!

I vsited Pancevo and Belgrade many years ago. I hope they are still as good looking as when I was there!

My Gallery
You should see it to believe it! I never seen that good surface, almost like polished! And painting is done by hand brush! Most miracle come from new arrived two spools of lycra and they give outstanding rigging!

Congratulation Profa and I am waiting for your next project!

Thank you all for kind words
@trackpad: dobar dan to you too, and don't worry - Pancevo and Belgrade look even better than before, although we have some monuments built in the meantime . You're welcome to visit us again anytime

As my new friend (to my great delight ) Sreiko mentioned, rigging is done with elasthomere thread, and for the first time it was really a childsplay and a pleasure to work
