Yes Sir, Please tell us more of these "real Springs" ??? !!!

How did you find springs so small ?

What Diameter are they ?

Where did you buy them ?

Are they already the right length or did you have to cut them ?

Yours Mike

Brass Rear Deck

Hi,

here are Pictures from the "Razor's" Rear Deck, the Fabric backpanel is not ready..........

On Pic.1 you can read: "The simple steel-tube fuselage"............... believe me, it's not true - it's not simple
(Profile Puplications No.:67 Fokker D.VIII 1966)

Umlau,

Really obvious such artistic building skill of Contest Quality. To be honest to me WGNT's presentation, quality, detail and engineering are in such a class by itself, to me it is no longer fair to comapre them to any other other manufactuers. More Like comparing the flavor of Apples to Orange juice ?

I agree this Kit has it's issues caused in part by it's adaptation of Roden moldings to create a very good looking DVII. But certainly I think nothing which is SO difficult or challengeing that even an average modeller couldnt handle them with out too much trouble ? I think in comaprison with most common WWI biplane builds the very inhierent simple design of the aricraft itself lend itself to being quite a simple model by comparison.

Personaly I had hoped WGNT's Four Color Loz Decals would have been released by now ? The Kit loz is argueably completely wrong both in scale and color, but still make for an impressive look.

Yours Mike

Umlau

Georgeous Attention to detail on the interior frame work and internal bracing wires. Really skillful Brass tubing/soder work.

I especally love the spring instrument mounting detail you scratch built..

Please if you are able tell us ALL more about the "real" springs you used on the Rotory engine ? What size are they and where and how did you get them ?

Yours Mike

Mikro-Springs

Hi Mike,

take a look to this Websides:

www. qatech .com (go to Products/0,25 - 100 inch)

www. Feinmetall. de (Kontaktstifte).

Inside from this Pin's you can find this Springs.

Don't understand me, the E.V is a very nice Kit, superb Fuselage-surface --- in my Eye's much better than the Roden-Fokkers ---, but not so good in Detail.

I'm waiting of WNW 4 Color-Lozenge, too....... but what mean's Peter Jackson with "coming soon" ??

Thank you !! I understand now. Iam still going thru the links to understand how to and what to order but I do understand now what they are.

Umlau got the springs from dis-assembling what appear to be Spring Loaded Circuit Board testing Probes built to very exacting and tiny specifications.

I am assuming to order the .025 inch size probe but I must search more to find a retailer and price. I pray they will not cost too much since I assume you must have taken apart quite a few of them to do one engine (9-clyinders/2 springs per ? )

Thank you !! Most Informative and Ingeniuous Use of some very not so common tools

Yours Mike
