Many thanks for the welcome.

I painted the white areas such the white bars, the white from the roundels, the A. Decals where the blue and red from the roundels and the serial number. I don´t made the decals. I had good help from my friends Hans and Jürgen.
Rigging was done with black fishing line. The bucles are made from heatened Q-tips(cotton wool sticks???)
Unfortunately one hole on the right interplane strut is broken and I don´t managed to glue the wire in the correct manner.

Hi Soren,

That is an absolutely fantastic SE5a! I love the colours you have used. The clear doped linen is very realistic. It is a very light cream colour when it is new, and the PC 10 from the upper surface can show through, since clear doped linen is semi transparent, and the colour you have used shows this effect very nicely!

Cheers,

David.

Should it be there? I have only followed the instructions from Roden. There wasn´t an "A". Do You have a pic of Mannocks S.E.5 where I can see this letter on the top wing?

Quote taken from British Aviation Squadron Markings of World War One

No.74 Squadron R.F.C
Individual Markings

"A" Flight used white letters between cockade and squadron marking using A,B,C,D,E,F.
There is no mention of the letter being repeated on the top wing.

Mannock on joining 85 squadron would have had the letter repeated on the upper starboard wing.

Looks like you have nothing to worry about.
Happy modelling
Bob
