Roden S.E.5a 1/32

May I introduce myself. My name is Sören and I come from Frankfurt(Oder), Germany.
This is my Roden S.E.5 paintes in the colours of edward "Mick" Mannocks S.E.5. I used the two sets from Master Casters for wheels, airscrew, radiator and cockpit cover. A lot of parts are scratch build like the enginge cowling and many parts in the cockpit.
Markings are painted or selfmade decals. The figure ist from Latorre Models.
I hope you enjoy my first model at the Aerodrome

Nice work! The figure and the base make a good frame for your build.

Beautiful!

What did you use for rigging???? Always curious in this scale as I'm getting ready to rig some 1/32nd scale aircraft myself........

Hello, Soren,

Welcome to the Aerodrome! I am sure that you will find a great deal of information here, and many forumites who can provide all sorts of help and advice.

Congratulations on a very nice SE5. I have the Wingnut Wings SE5a to build, so I am always interested in how others finish their 5/5a. I notice in your second set of photos that a rigging wire between the left side interplane struts has slackened off a bit: easy to fix! Excellent work with home made decals and painted markings as well. I must also use these methods for my current Junkers J.1.

Best Regards and, again, welcome!

Hi Sören,
Welcome to the Aerodrome. You will always find somebody here, who can answer your questions.
What a beautiful SE5a you have built. Just wonderful. What did you use for rigging and buckles?
Cheers from Denmark,
Kofoed

Wellcome Sören. Nice build. Personally I would love to see some shadows and lights on otherwise overall nice plane.
