Wood Panel Decals in 1:48?

Anybody know any decal companies that produce wood grain panel decals in 1:48 scale? Specifically to simulate the wood on an albatros DI-DV...but full sheets in 1:48 scale will also do nicely. I've heard Tauro and Aeromaster produced wood grain decal sheets in this scale at one time, but I can't find them for sale anywhere. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Greg's right. Here's the link to Mike's webpage that deals with Spada decals:

SPADA DECALS

I've got some, and used them: they're good!

I'm using the Spada decals from Mike on a SS DIII at the moment and I recommend them highly. (slow job, panel by panel).

Cripes !! Thanks for the Plugs !!! Actually I know that is becuase it is how you really feel !

SPADA took a sabitcal from the industry and sent all the files to me for Re-Production.

It has been slow going what with getting new Hardware and Expensive Drawing Sotware to open the files with, getting stock paper etc. BUT Fianlly the entire Unique Wood Effect Series in all major scales ARE Back in Full Production. Sale Priced at $10/sheet.

I have a Huge list of Profile Decals Back order I must try to tackle but work has left me very little time to spend tinkering. It is high on my prority List and i will get to them as we go along here.

Pop me an email with all your needs and I'll see what we can do for you. Unlike Traditional "Wood Grain" Decals these are more of a VERY Opquae Wood GRain Pattern Printed on Clear Decal Carrier Film so that it will pick up and blend itself to what ever Wood Color Base Paint coat you use. There are a total of 7 distinct wood grain patterns to choose from. Most are in either grey scale or Black. The Few which do carry a little color lend them selves well to a Plywood and or burl finish. WE005 is the most popular for Unstained Pylood used on German Fusleges to WE004 which lends itself to a course wood grain to WE003 whcih is a sort of milk choclatey Burl which comes out stunning as a Red Brown Stained Finshed Camel Fuselage.

Yours Mike
