Hi, Doug,
We'd ALL like the answer to that question! The tantalizing quote from the WNW website is that the Fokker DVII "will be available in all it's main variations." Does this mean that there will be several kits, one for each variation? Or one kit only, with the required bits and pieces to make the variation of your choice? I'm betting the latter (what other manufacturer gives you two distinct SE5a fuselages in a kit to account for fabric wrinkling, of all things??), but stay tuned to your local channel for further news updates!

Only guessing.
Hi Dak66:
With the number of kits projected by the kit number 32018 (Sopwith Pup),I triedto come up with release dates for the other 14 kits at the rate of 4 each time. I was totally wrong. I had thought they would release the next 4 kits in June. Well its now July and the next four have not been released. I check every day, and am dissapointed. We know what fifteen of the kits will be, but there are three unkowns, that have not been identified.
When the next batch will be released is unknown to me. One morning I'll click on Wingnut Wings and the next four will be released, and the "Coming soon" will show the next batch. The suspense is killing me. I have to sell more CDs so I can buy some more kits.
Blue Skies Dak66,
Dan-San

Dan San,
I assume that the first four are those available now, and the next six are the "Coming Soon" kits. Please advise what the subsequent five are: I've apparently missed that list entirely. Thanks!

I don't have inside information.
Hi trackpad:
First I don't have any inside information, I am guessing just like you are. The ones I know are the first four.
32001, Junker Ju.J.I,
32002, LVG.C.VI,
32003, S.E.5a,
32004, BristolF.2b
32005, Gotha G.IV
32006, Pfalz D.IIIa
32007, ?
32008, ?
32009, Alb.D.V
32010, ?
32011, Fok.D.VII
32012, R.E.8
32013, ?
32014, ?
32015, ?
32016, ?
32017, ?
32018, Sopwith Pup.
From articles and photos in the last two issues of Windsock, we know the have in the process, D.H.2, D.H.9a, F.E.2b, Hansa Brandenburg W.29 and the Rol. D.VIa. These I know are a fact and they are "coming soon", whatever that is. However, all of these come to 15 models! yet there are 18 kit numbers assigned, we don't know what those three are.
I am hoping, that the in the coming soon list, they might be identifed. Also in the Windsock articles, they talk about super kits with figures and other goodies, we don't which ones if these are in the supper kits. These guys have a bunch of modelers sitting on the edge of their chairs. The next question, what is for next year?? I would like to see a really good kit of the Pfalz D.XII, they have one in Australia?? Vintage Aviators Limited have a
B.E.2f, they could work from. I think another possibility is the Sopwith 1F1 Camel or the Sopwith 7F1 Snipe, reason they were usefd by the Australian fighter squadrons. Those are way out in the ballpark wild guesses. Hell I hope I live long enough.

Dan-San

Dan, I'm sure you know that NZ is not part of Aust? and that in WW1 the NZers fought in RFC/RAF squadrons while the Aussies had their own separate air arm. So no particular reason to expect Camels and Snipes from WNW except that they would make great 1:32 models.

Come on lads. I'm sure we can all wait for the next releases, no? It's better that the guys put together as near perfect models as possible for their next release.
Take your time my nutty friends. Quality not mediocrity

After all, the only one way to go is:
- check the WNW site on each day
- when waiting for the new releases: to build the first batch kits...
