Eduard 1/72 Fokker E.IV

Hi folks.

Here is my second finished(or not?) project after I again started doing these little beasts. 1/72 scale Eduard Fokker E.IV. I need your comments and help should I consider this as a finished or is there something to do. As after years of AMS I always don't know when to stop.

Pretty pleasuring project. Only that rigging gave my bit hairy moments, but eventually all went pretty well.

Any constructive comments are very wellcome.

Cheers Mikko

Excellent work my friend.The machined metal cowl is very impressive. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work in the near future.

Yes very nice.....do tell us how you did the cowling.
After years of AMS myself...with proper weathering and a good clean build job,
the model looks great...nothing more needed!

Thank you for your kind words. I myself noticed that there is missing steps from sides(already painted but forgot to put on) and two wires next to spandaus.

About cowling. I first airbrushed Games Workshop Boltgun metal and after that brushed uneven squirls with GW mithril silver and chainmail.

Greetings MikkoH;

Very decent build - but if I may add, there is a good bit of exhaust staining on the fuselage - which is good. But none on the adjacent wing roots. The E.IV twin row 14 cyl. Oberursel threw out twice as much castor oil exhaust as the E.I type seven cylinder. Because of the prop wash it extends out on the pilot's left about 3-4 wing ribs. On the pilot's right not more than 3 ribs out.

I like it! What you should do is have castor oil stains on the top of one wing and on the bottom of the other from the prop wash, be sure to check which way the prop spins. I've noticed on the C-152's I've flown that when I land in the grass there will be bug splatters on the top of one wing and on the bottom of the other. Good job.

Thank you Kaiser Stephen and Captain. I tried to look at pics about those wings, but really didn't see how did they look like because of the shine of varnish and dark quality of pics. So thanks stephen. I have to do something about those wings.
