Looking very, very good!

Thanks for the heads up on the expansion/shrinking on the wires, should have looked it up and calculated it myself... Guess I'm a bit biased when it come's to wiring (I use fishing line myself). Alway liked the extra strenght it give to a model. But seeing how good the wings fit on the WNW models I suppose strength isn't really an issue...

I certainly gonna give it a try, maybe whait a bit until Telford and buy them there...

Thank you very much, Guys.

Pez, thanks. I didn't do any rigging before mounting the wing. I only mounted the buckles in their supposed correct angles.

Wienne, thank you. Well, that was only a theoritical calculation. And I agree, the fit is outstanding. However, there's still a little bit of flexing. I now have learned what I think would be the correct rigging procedure: Place the model on it's lower wing tips and mount the landing wires. When you lift off the model, the landing wires would be stretched by the weight of the wings. Now you can mount the flying wires with the model resting on it's wheels.

Thank you, Doug, my friend.

Rocky, thank you very much. Please see my note to Wienne, though I don't know whether this will work until my next SE5a.

Thank you very much, Bertl.

I now have most of the rigging in place. Then awaits the upper wing top surface with decals, the Lewis gun & Foster mount and some minor issues. Then it will be finished.....

Cheers,
Kofoed

Thanks for the rigging tip Kofoed. That makes a lot of sense and I will give it try.
