Hello Moeggo:

That looks really impressive. You have an excellent eye for detail. The engine is really incredible with the plugs, wires, and thermal wrapping on the manifold. Looking forward to seeing more!

Well, I have been a bit lazy since I finished my LVG... Haven't taken any completed photos yet, due to having family visiting and staying with us from England for a couple of weeks... but here are couple of shots that were emailed to me from the New Zealand IPMS Nationals and Scale Models Expo...

I got a Highly Commended for it... First place when to Jamo's outstanding LVG

I will take some photos later and post them...

I did really enjoy my first WW1 Biplane build... Learn't a lot of new modeling skills, rigging, painting wood grain and airscrews! I am planning to do the Junkers next...

But I will think I will build something a bit modern next!!!

Hi Erik,

It was the First Nationals that I have entered in... So I believe it goes like this -

Gold / 1st
Silver / 2nd
Bronze / 3rd
Highly Commended

I also got a 3rd for a 1/48 P-47D

Aha, ok. Double congrats then!

Different organisations have different prizes is my experience. Even if they're all IPMS. Maybe post a little pic of your P-47? I can't guarantee if the Forum-Elders won't get the tar & feathers out, though!
