Trust me guys, we're better off letting Wingnuts solve the postage and import duty problem and buying direct from them.
The price they would have to let a distributor have the kits for (markups are considerable) would make the venture virtually non-profitmaking.
Look at the current inflated prices of Roden 1/32 kits......believe me Roden is'nt seeing that money and therefore new kit development declines.
Wingnuts have done everything in their power to produce these dreamlike kits for us - lets stop moaning and trust them to do their best for us, eh?

I am sure happy we don't have all that extra cost here. But I am sure the cost would be even more outrageous if there was an importer involved. $79.00 US is reasonable for these two-seaters. What you guys are paying is would probably be a deal breaker for me.

I am really anxious to get my hands on the Albatros. I know we are all getting anxious. I am also sure the Wingnut People are anxious to get these kits out on the market. There is a lot of money tied up in those kits, and no money coming in until they are being offered. Isn't it funny how we are all anxious when it comes to these kits, with all the anticipation, and comments regarding why we think they are not yet available, etc. None of the other manufacturers seem to get this much attention regarding kits that are not yet available. Fortress Wingnut is not giving up any secrets, and we are all going crazy from the silence.

Yes, true...so far. I'm wondering, however, if there will come a point in time where potential buyers are going to start giving up a little. The "New Releases" kits on the WNW website are the same four models that we've come to know and love for months on end. The "Coming Soon" kits are the same six models listed over the same timeframe. We've had all sorts of teasers here and there but, personally, I'm not all that much interested in it now. I know which kits I'll get as and when they arrive (I'm assuming that they will arrive!), so I check the website every now and then, let the universe unfold as it will, and continue to "model on." I'm not trying to be a crepe-hanger here, or dissuade others from their enthusiasm, but I can't influence arrival dates! They'll be here when they get here, and that's just the way it is. Pick a date!

My prediction — the 2009 kits will be released on Dec. 31.

There are still two weeks to go before the "Rest of world" close date for Christmas shipping and more than a week after that for the close date on North America shipping.

WNW's has some time to get a couple more kits out if the Christmas deadline is an indication of anything.

So, The Vintage Aviator builds SE5a, FE2b, and now an Albatros D.Va (see threads in Replicas). I wonder if the WingNutWings site is giving us an early preview of what's in the works at TVAL ? Some idle speculation while we are waiting for "coming soon" to morph to "available now".....

Hmm, ..............Peter Jackson is a cool Movie-man, the "comming-soon" pictures are only a trailer for the full movie.
.................but when come(s) the movie(s) in the cinema?
Step one 04/2009, step two on Christmas??

Lets be 100% fair to WNW here. Does it matter? Does it really matter if they release this side of Christmas or next spring? I want to see the new releases as much as the next man, but as I have no understanding on running a business producing state of the art models, I am more than happy to wait for those who do.

I'm in for the long haul. I can wait

Merry Christmas!

Herr von Buckle,

Jawohl, mein freunde! It really does not matter. New kits will be here when they get here, and not a micromillisecond sooner. I'm good for the next 20 years, slightly longer if I follow the example of Herr Dan San, so new WNW kits can arrive when they wish!
