Roland DVIa

This was a charming little model, and IMHO had more appeal than the Fokker DVII

The interior detail was extraordinary - definitely a case for modelling it uncovered

My photos aren't so good on this one sorry. Might be able to do better tomorrow. The cockpits were full of detail. Incidently there were no decal sheets on any of the new releases.

Looks like the Roland D VI comes with 2 engines? The one on the box top has the look of the 160hp, while the one with the crewman spinning the prop looks llike the 180 hp !

Hansa Brandenburg W29

Beaching trolley and trestle included. Heaps of interior detail. Two options for the gun ring. Engine area looked fantastic

Morefigures

Beautifully painted by Nic Moore, who as a consequence had no figures entered into the Expo competition. Very nice paint job. I wonder how many top aeroplane modellers are also good figure painters? Time to broaden our experience I think.

I think this must be a deluxe version of the Junkers J1

Last odds and ends

Wingnut will be selling RAF streamline wire for all the RFC/RAF kits, including wire terminals. No release date as yet.

I think its fair to say my wallet will be lightened somewhat by Wingnut as some of these new releases come out. Think of the diorama potential with the Gotha and all the ground crew. Expect to see some gorgeous cut-away models.
