G'day,
I am having trouble understanding where the flying wire attachment point is on the D.III. *The Eduard rigging diagram isn't much help here, suggesting the fitting is on the lower wing itself, which doesn't seem correct. *Photos in Albatros Fighters Special by and large don't reveal this detail, but it seems to me that there is a fitting about midchord on the fuselage just above the lower wing the serves as a near-common point attachment for wires from the vee-strut and the cabanes. *Any illumination on this point will be appreciated.
