Albi DIII OAW Cockpit control cable query.

Hi all, I'm currently building the Roden DIII OAW and have come to a stopper.

I wonder if any one can cast light on the routing of the rudder control cables from the control, what pulleys etc and route it takes. I have the windsock datafiles showing the DI/DII Rudder control bar and the cable runs out to two pulleys on stringers each side of the cockpit but from there it seems a mystery. Or is it like the DV where they run straight back from the rudder bar?

Any info would be greatly appreciated even on the rest of the cable runs though I have a fairly good idea of those from the plans etc. if I can get this done then I can get the lower wing on and she will really start taking shape.

thanks Keith

yes i can.. the kit control system is not for the DIII it for the DI and DII you need the ALB D Va system and i made a little drawings for my scratch built OAW DIII if you want it and stick and rudder photos of D Va let me know.. buy the way if you want it right you need to make the lower control column and reverse the rudder bar mount so the single leg is in front by the stick.. just want you to know why it is deferent! because the wing change from two spars to one spar that moved the pull point forward for the controls, in line with the single spar. hallo,
if you look at the replica section under albatros DII D III news and go back a few pages you can see the pics from the D III cockpit with all the details f the pulleys. as doug sayed the control system between D I / D II and the D III is very different. the system is very simmilar on the D III and DV differing only in the attachment of the brackets due to the different fuselage cross section.
cheers

Doug thanks, I sent you a PM, stupid of me but I typed [,com] instead of [.com] in my addy. thanks toy much appreciated.

Koloman, what can I say, thank you very much, really lovely lovely pics even without the cables its shows quite some work to mod the kit. Many thanks.

My what a jaw dropping post and a beautiful show of craftsmanship willpower and pure determination to bring these beautiful machines to life once more. I am going to take time and read through, gleaning info and details as I go thank you.
