Hello All -

I'm currently working on a stick and tissue Be2e, and I'm planning on doing a Home Defense color scheme - The all black w/ white roundels.

From what I can tell, this scheme also has a skull and cross bones on the fuse side between the two cockpits and on the underside of the upper wing.

Does anyone have or know of a digital file of a skull and cross bones that i can use to make this insignia?

Thanks.

john ernst

You are right! In the small book "B.E.2 in action" (squadron/signal publications) there is a profile of such an aircraft.

It is a profile of a B.E.2e of 50 Home Defense Squadron painted dark green over all parts of the aircraft. The skull and crossbones can be seen on the left side of the fuselage as well as on the lower side of the upper wing. The markings look like as you described them.

Maybe someone else can make copies for you.
