I am going to attempt this Albatros but, I need someone who knows the top wing mauve/green
pattern for this aircraft. Dan-San you have been great help in the past, do you have this profile?

TIA

Greetings Randy(Swineorama) K.:

The Black & white banded(zebra striped) Albatros D.V you mention sounds like Vallendor's. See Over the Front issue Vol. 6 #3 P.266 & 267. You'll see the story & plan views to answer your questions.

Vallendor is the one with his arm on the aircraft.

Dan's gone for a few days on a Leave of Absence from the Forum. He'll be back in about 10 days.

Greg van Wyngarden is the man - who published the article on Baden flyers and their aircraft. Good Luck. Are you going to use an Alps printer? STL

Randy,
I assume you are wanting to model the black and white striped Alb.D.V of Jasta Boelcke. I will also assume that it wll be in 1/48th. I used 3/16ths wide automotive masking tape to mask the fuselage. It is slightly elastic and reduces the problems with the compound curves. I can dig up an image of my model if you like. I painted the upper wing surfaces green/mauve/green but they probably should have been mauve/green/mauve. The lower surfaces green outboard and mauve inboard but those should probably be reversed also. I do agree that Greg is the man.
