OK Nieuport 28 Puzzles anyone? Or shall we go with a Halloween theme and call it the Return of the Nieuport 28 Mummy?
I've taken some time to mask in what you could call a sort of puzzle form...this way I will be able to remove certain sections and mask others fairly easily.........just keep your references right next to you!
Painting should go rather quickly now?............knock on wood........?
OK! All the Camo paint has been shot and all the wrapping unwrapped....I have a few touch-ups to do with a paint brush and I'm good to go......Next that rudder needs shot and the undercarriage leg and spreader bar I forgot to paint while I had the brown in the gun (I always seem to forget something) old age maybe?
I've got the rudder painted looks like the blue will be a pretty close match to the decals I will be using...Bill as you know I very rarely use decals for my rudder tricolors, I'd rather paint it on...................
Going back to the laboratory now.....need to get this puppy well on its way to make the November 14th deadline!
The Nieuport has legs now and she has been shot with a coat of Future floor wax in preparation for the decals (Maybe tomorrow)? I still need to shoot the underside of the top wing with Future for the roundels that will go there....Windscreen is finished and will be one of the last things I attach before the top wing.........
One word of caution...if you have the PART photo etched set for this aircraft it comes with the clear windscreen to use with the photo etched part, Don't Use IT! I am sure it can be used, but bending it into shape will be a real pain in the butt......I used some thin cellophane which I found around the house.......And here are a few shots of the shiny Nieuport......
