Progress The Latest and then Some!

Thanks all for the kind words!

Here is the latest!

Everything is glued on except the top wing, I will have to rig the center section before I attach it, which creates a bit of a conundrum for me! I'm afraid the struts will flex while I attach the top wing so what to rig with???? Bill, I was going to use the surgical stainless steel you gave me for the rest of the rigging but not sure about the center section????

Here are a few shots with a little weathering and a clear coat.......I have one week left....!

Ken

Thanks Again Bill I'm still using this stuff....have anymore????

It comes in 18" strands and is GREAT Stuff!!! NOW if anyone knows where to find this stuff now please let me/us know?????

Ken...I have a little bit left, but soon I'll have to contact my cousin the surgeon or try Small Parts to see if they have something similar. I've heard tell of guys using something called fuse wire or ceramic wire. Never tried that myself.

Ethicon is easily attatched with either white glue or Krystal Kleer.

A Google search finds lots a places that will sell the surgical steel wire; the only catch is it is by the box that contains 12 tubes of 50 strands - 600 18" wires. Sounds like it would need to be a club buy.

sixman...that sounds like a brilliant idea!! Thanks for the info. It also makes great antenna wire for the WW2 stuff also.

The Home Stretch

Here are the latest photos of my progress I was hoping to finish last night....but just had too many other things that needed attention! So with a little luck today I can finish up and get this one into the display case...?

The top wing is attached now....some rigging is also done.....I just need to attach the inter-plane struts and rig....(Cowl, Engine, and the prop)

Ken
