Thanks guys for your nice words.
Work has been at a stand still the last few days because we have had two terrific dust storms, everything is coated in a thick layer of red dust so any painting is out of the question. The winds, which are gale force at the moment, forces the dust through every little opening so once the winds die down I will have a huge clean-up to do. I hope to post an up-date on the Junkers soon.

We have been expecting to see own own skies turn red over here in NZ, but nothing yet. And there probably won't be either as we are 1000 miles away. There are scare stories in our TV news about the dust being radioactive as it is understood to come from a place where uranium is mined in Aust (we are proudly nuclear free in NZ ).

The dust has settled and the clean-up has been done, so it's now back to modelling. This is what I have done so far, hopefully I will get more done next week.

I did some more work tonight, fitted the magneto and leads, repainted the rocker assembly and springs.
Only plug leads and conduit to be fitted on the other side of the engine, then it's on to the big bits.

Where did you get the Bake-Lite magneto cap?

Thanks Terri for your kind words.
Here are some more photos of my progress so far. It has been a little slow this week as I have been entertaining visitors.
The decals went on beautifully, even settled down well over the stitching. The tailplane and rudder are now on.

These are the engine cowlings which I will be leaving in the open position so as to display the engine. I have added the internal bracing plus drilled out the strengthening frames. I also removed the plastic hinges and replaced them with metal.
The upper surface of the top wing is complete so now I will tackle the under side.
