Thumbs up

Congratulations Des, an excellent job. I like much the entire engine compartment and inside the engine doors.

Great stuff

Wonderful build!
A couple of questions: How did you tackle the decals on the corrugated surfaces? And how did you do the holes in the engine door supports?

Hi Hans

thanks for your kind words.

The decals go on easy as long as the surface is a very high gloss and I used Mr. Mark Setter as a decal setting solution, I presume other brands would do the same job.

The holes in the engine door supports where done using a combination of 0.2mm - 0.3mm and 0.4mm drill bits. It was a little fiddly but with care it can be achieved very easily. For the bracing on the doors I used 0.4mm brass tube.

Hope this answers your question - happy modelling.

Beeza thank you for this fine experience of watching your build and its various walkarounds. Most impressive. Since I am building this kit I have been watching your progress with great interest. I hope you don't mind if I brag on it and refer others to your work. Thanks again! A marvelous clean build.

Thanks again to all who have commented on my pictures.

Hi Des,
Thanks for your kind answers. Will help a lot when I get that far in my build.
I'm doing a detailed blog for my build. Since I'm new here, I'm not allowed to post links yet, but you may find it by checking my profile
