Roundel,
No,they weren't quite that bad. The wings,tail and rudder were each molded in one piece with very deep recesses between the ribs and you applied the tissue over them in one piece and trimmed the edges.The result did give the model a certain appeal, particularly in the Bleriot's case. The real disaster was when they reissued the kits without the tissue.You then had to fill all those gaps with putty and sand the result down to come up with any kind of end product.

By eliminating the Aeroskin, maybe Renwal thought it was issuing the "Visible Airplane" series.
