Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some information about Albatros J-1 wing camouflage. I assume that the same guide lines that apply to Albatros D series would apply to the C and J series aircraft as well(please correct me if I'm wrong). I guess what is really important is at what location were they constructed?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Tim

Tim, the Alb.J.I were finished in painted camouflage schemes of pale green, mauve and dark green on the tops of the wings and tailplane with a pale green rudder to around J.415/17. Albatros changed to a two color scheme of pale green and dark green. around J.417/17. On J.707/17 they used 5 color printed fabric, the dark pattern on the upper surfaces and the light pattern on the under surfaces and the rudder. On J.730/17 the returned to the two color scheme of pale green and dark green. The painted schemes had sky blue under surfaces and wheel covers.
All the struts, under carriage, radiator and plumbing, cowlings, access doors and armor plate were painted light grey. I have colored 1/72 scale 3 view drawings available of the serial numbers listed above. Contact me off line for prices.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
