Wingnut wish list

Dear Gentlemen

WIth 18+ Kits already in thier computers in their production line, there isnt TOO much more left to WISH for in Large Scale WWI, GOD BLESS THEM !!!

I read in a Copy of the latest Windsock International with another indepth interview and article about WINGNUT that THEY Choose What ever they LIKE for the Next prototype kit release.

They Said they Enjoy reading Forum "Wishlists" at the speculation of what they will choose.

I would like to start an Offical thread here of what possibly could be left to "WISH" For from WINGNUT In hopes they will consult our thread and consider some of the common choices, Like Roden did with it's recent SSW release !

NO repeats though of what they already have in thier pipe line, which IS a lot !

Please post your MOST Favorite WWI Planes you would perosnally like to see kitted and released by Wingnut.

(no offense but please 32nd sclae only NO 48th & 72nd Scale Dreams ?)

Here are my picks straight off the top of my head.

1. A Richtofen Halberstadt D.II

Why ? not only cause I think its cool. But Becuase it has been so ingorned and forgotten but is one of the few Richtofen birds left that have not been done yet (32nd) in addtion to being an important "missing link" in the Fighter Aircraft evolution from the Rickity Rotary Powered E.III's and Dh2's type planes to the first Albatros In-line Water cooled Engined type Planes.

2. The Sopwith Tripe !!!

Aside from being a Tripe ! Duh ? What else do you need ? Another than again it is another often ignored and forgotten important Inter-development plane. With out which THERE WOULD be NO Fokker Dr. 1 !

Iam sure I have more and I will post them as I can think of them. Except these Two would be / Are on the TOP of my own Personal "Wish List" that I 'ACHE' to see done /available now.

Yours mIke

I am necessarily selective in what I can and will purchase - I have not bought a Wing Nut kit yet, but, you can probably guess which I'm waiting for.

I would not hesitate to buy a 1/32 scale model of the Nieuport 17bis. Probably more than one. And I would buy a Halberstadt DV. Best wishes to WNW for all future success!

Mike,

Do you have a list of what WNW has in their "pipeline"? Can you post it in this thread to provide a good starting point?

In order of desire/demand/wish:

Sopwith Tripe
Salmson 2A2 (Hopefully they really are already on this one)
Halberstadt CLII
Macchi M5
Sopwith Snipe
Hannover

Down the road I wouldn't mind seeing a new Camel and N17 but since there are existing kits of them I would rather see new types that have never been produced.

Good idea. This is a list posted on Europeanmodeller:

News hot of the presses - Europeanmodeller Forums

32001 Junkers J.1 - available now
32002 LVG C.VI - available now
32003 SE.5a Hisso - available now
32004 Bristol F.2b Fighter - available now
32005 Gotha G.IV - available 2010
32006 Pfalz D.IIIa - available 2010
32007 DH.9a - available 2010
32009 Albatros D.V - available 2009
32010 Hansa Brandenburg W.29 - available 2010
32011 Fokker D.VII - available 2010
32012 RE.8 - available 2010
32013 Sopwith Pup - available 2009
32014 FE.2b - available 2010
32018 Fokker E.II/III - available 2011 (new announcement)
32019 Pfalz D.XII - available 2011 (new announcement)
32022 Roland D.VIa - available 2010
32028 DH.2 - available 2010

Apparently from Richard Alexander, it indicates that we will only see the Pup and Albatros DV this year. Looking at the number sequence there are some obvious gaps which may indicate other kits in preparation or perhaps reiterations of already announced ones with added bits/figures?

If I'm honest, I think the announced kits so far are a really nice mix of the 'usual suspects' and some more imaginative choices - so I'm happy to leave it to them, provided they also do:

Macchi M5
Sopwith Triplane
Sopwith Dolphin
Caproni Ca3 (could use three Isotta Fraschini V4B from the Macchi....)
