1/48 MG08 etched cooling jackets

Can anyone recommend a manufacturer of these please, I thought Part might have done them but can't see them on the Jadar and/or Aeroclub site.

Thanks - Andy

I don't think you'll find separate cooling jackets. You'll have to buy a set of whole MGs

Eduard has a PE set for two whole MGs: #48327

Karaya makes excellent sets of two MGs with PE jackets rolled to barrel shape and PE, metal tube and resin for the rest of the gun: Karaya B04 - Spandau LMG 08/15 (1/48) (they've got also a Parabellum set)

Both available trough Jadar. Please note that Karaya products can be found under Aircraft, 1/48, Karaya. They are not listed under Photoetch.

Thanks Mikko.

Now there's a missed opportunity for someone then. Ten jackets, sights and some cocking mechanisms on a fret would be very useful.

Actually a company called Fotocut did a fret of jacket material from Harry Woodman's drawings. They use to be carried by Rosemont Hobbies mail order.

Now you can find them
here.

Also one of the first ever Spandau jacket sets was designed by our own Buzz1941 for an IPMS Nats, years ago.
