Latest CGI standards?

Have a look at this link

http://www.angel.ne.jp/~tochy/index.htm

Although not WW1- it is of WW2 Mosquitos and Spitfires, it is an example of the Computer Generated Images now possible.

I expect this will give us a flavour of the sort of thing we might expect in the forthcoming "Flyboys" movie mentioned elsewhere on the forum.

The link is about a 4 MB download.

Overall, very good example of computer generated animation of WW II war birds in action. I'm just glad I know little about how they truly flew, otherwise the 1945 short movie might have me up in arms. It was very cool. Very well choreographed and sound effects very good. Now the voices in the 1945 movie are silly. But I'm keeping on the hard drive for the visuals.

Now back to my wings with wires and linen.

Thank you Scottie

That's some outstanding stuff...I really liked the seaplane reconstruction landing amid the Japanese destroyers...
I found this clip over at R/C Groups showing a D.VII in action against a Caquot. Really good stuff and if this what we are getting today, who knows how much more realistic it's going to be in 5 years??

Bolle against Caquot
