Thumbs up

I couldn't get it to play, but I saw it on TV last night. In what I saw, Kong made a nice up and down leap from the sky scraper, to swat one of the planes attacking him. Looks good, I'm sold.

I'm not sure which trailer this is - I can't get it to work either.
but i think if you download the latest version of quicktime it should be ok.
in any case - there is a trailer out with airplanes

best website for Kong info is here:

Don't any of the trailers play on Media Player? I have the lastest Quicktime, but for some reason, videos load very slow. And if the video plays, it's choppy with distorted sound. I thought I might be having a problem with my PC. But anything I play on Media Player plays fine. Quicktime just isn't working.

Night before last I watched a TV doc about Merian Cooper who made the original King Kong. Whew! What a life and what a character. I knew he'd flown in WW I and also in Poland fighting Bolsheviks post-war, but the rest of his life was equally adventurous- if you see thw show listed- watch it. And that was him in the cockpit of final shot finishing off Kong.

Maybe that's the same 2- hour documentary that's included now in the Original Kong DVD release. My brother just got it, we were all totally enthralled by the hsitory of this epic. I highly recommend it to everybody, especially the recreation of the missing "spider pit" scene!

Best regards,
