Bad movie, good planes

Last night I watched a 1994 movie staring Mickey Rooney called "The Revenge of the Red Baron."
It's about 90 minutes long, and I recommend avoiding all but the first 10 and the last 10. I'm not certain why they decided to make a story in which Richtofen is reincarnated as an evil radio controlled airplane, but there it is.
Nonetheless, there's an interesting dogfight sequence at the beginning between what appear to be full-scale SE-5 and DR-1 replicas, and a second dogfight near the end using the same planes.
Does anyone know the story on these aircraft? They appeared to be very nice repros, and the SE-5 may even have been Hisso powered -- it certainly looked good in any case.

The Internet Movie Database thought it was quite funny??
It's got a rating of 3.8 out of 10.

Thumbs down Please don't waste a moment of your life on this...

It is horrid! Not because of the planes, not because it's cheesy! Cheesy can be good. This is simply a fantastically horrid movie! You are left feeling uneasy after watching it.

there are a couple of snippets of the dog fights that look okay.... But hardly worth the trouble.
