Lafayette Escadrille/Band Of Brothers Connection

I recently got a copy of Dennis Gordon's "Lafayette Escadrille Pilot Biographies". This is a really well researched book and while reading through the chapter about Henry Jones this bit of trivia occured to me:
In Band Of Brothers, Lt. Jones (the young West Point guy) who figured so promanently in episode 8 "The Last Patrol" was Henry Jones Jr., the son of the Lafayette member.
Like some of the others, Jones Sr. started with the Ambulance Corps and reported to the escadrille in May, 1917 at Ham. When the group dissolved the following year he was transferred to the U.S. 103rd Aero.
His only son (West Point Class of '44) served as a platoon leader in the 506th Parachute Infantry. His Band Of Brothers appearance chronicles the time when he'd just arrived at his unit as a green 2lt. and eager to get in a little combat experience before the end. Jones Jr. survived the last months of the war only to die as the result of a jeep accident in Berlin in 1947. He was 23.
Henry Jones Sr. lived to the ripe old age og 79.
Just thought I'd share this one. I thought it was a pretty cool piece of trivia.
