I didn't think it was too bad either!

Very atmospheric.

I like it! It was fairly ambitious and easy to watch.

Excellent!

I loved the gatling guns. At least no levers were pulled to make them fire.

I actually saw this in the newspaper!

I read about this in the NY Post and watched it. I was going to share it with everyone here tonight, only to realize you beat me to it. Da%^ IT! I thought Der Ostwind was fun to watch. Interesting blend of cg and film in an amateurish, but sophisticated way. I liked how the dark side of humanity is shown, but how good ultimately triumphed in Der Ostwind's inner war. I think it was pure fun and nicely done! I enjoyed it!

Nevertheless one necessary comment for non-Germans:

In a German army
(like Altes Heer, Reichswehr, Wehrmacht, NVA but not in the alien-made Bundeswehr!)
it is one of the worst failures to salute (with the arm) if you are barheaded!!
You need any kind of headgear before you can salute in the common way!!

So the heroe could only salute with German "Blickwendung"
(a kind of jerk-like move of the head/face into the direction of the other person)
but that is impossible to spot at a bigger distance.

If the heroe was saluting then he was also breaking the German military "Etikette"!

A real trap ...

Question

Rammjaeger, since you mentioned saluting, I also noticed a lot of saluting with the palm facing outward. Was that the method during WWI? I thought only the British saluted that way.

Thumbs up

Well done. Moody and deep, loved the theme. Two snaps in a circle
