The Aerodrome Featured in Young Indiana Jones DVD Set

From Lucasfilm Publicity:

Quote:
I am writing to let you know that your website is featured in bonus materials included in the upcoming DVD release of The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones.

Making its DVD debut on October 23, George Lucas’ meticulously-researched series couples feature-length episodes along with a treasure trove of historical bonus materials, taking audiences on an adventure through real events of the early 20th century. In Volume I, there are 38 documentaries devoted to various historical subjects. Among the three volumes, there are a total of 94 documentaries.

Also included in the collection is an interactive DVD-ROM timeline which allows audiences to dig even deeper into the fascinating true events that inspired Indy’s exploits. Your site is included as a link from this exciting, revolutionary bonus feature.

Is this the Indy series where young Jones tries to lure Anthony Fokker to the Allied side? Also featured is a gigantic multi-engined experimental plane introduced by a rival to Fokker? It's a great spectacle, that episode.

Any history of The Aerodrome has to include The Novel, a vastly convoluted and hugely entertaining assemblage of The Usual Suspects from the dark ages of this site. I think it's still accessible.

About the only thing missing is alligator wrestling, and I'm not so sure about that!

Probably the first depiction of Richthofen as a short, slight Prussian. What a second, HE WAS a short, slight Prussian!

Indiania Jones

Would this set of DVD's be based on the short-lived TV series about the Young Indiania Jones?? If I remember correctly, Indy served as a courier in the Belgian Army, but had very little to do with any airplanes.

I think it is related to the failure series, but I'm not sure. I'll check out the link.

EDIT:

Yeah, it is. I saw that they mentioned Sean Patrick Flanery. My grand-nephew bought the originals, but they weren't very good at all, and for $75.00, who will buy these DVD's?
