Ooo that does look good. Buldog90, I don't think this will be another 'Flyboys', the skies didn't seem crowded enough. Can't wait to see more of this.

I've only seen two Peter Jackson movies...
"Lord of The Rings" (well, that's really 3 but I count it as one epic) and "King Kong".
I can only hope that this trailer is a prelude to a full length feature. It looks like it might be a "Gallipoli" with wings attached.

Anyway, the same website has a clip from "Otoko Tachi No Yamato", which, I assume, results in "no Yamato".

Thanks for the interesting clip from Otoko Tachi no Yamato.

"Otoko Tachi" is the plural of "man" so translates to "Men". The Japanese "no" translates to "of" so it's "The Men of the Yamato".

Whether "Crossing the Line" gets a full length movie treatment, it'd sure be neat to at least see the full 15 minute version.

"Otoko Tachi No Yamato" is a full-lenght film made in Japan depicting the suicide mission of the battleship to Okinawa. As far as I know it was not released outside Japan, altough it can be found with english subtitles in P2P nets. Anyway It's mainly boring and the final scenes, like the one depicted in the youtube video are not really top-notch. The good part is that they built a full-size model (?) of the Yamato from the bow to the chimney and up to the 9th floor of the superstructure. The rest of the wessel is computed generated but looks great!

Yeah, but since most of us wakarimasen nihon-go, we wouldn't know a good Japanese film from a bad one. As long as there's not a guy in a rubber suit stomping on Tokyo, it'll probably do.

I recently read in his biography that, shortly before the "Rings" trilogy went into production, Peter Jackson was approached to direct a movie about Frank Luke to be called "18". Sadly nothing came of this and the project remains in what is commonly referred to as "Development Hell".
