Paul (and everyone else),
A review of the new film will appear in the Autumn 2008 issue of Over the Front -- and I hope and trust that all Forumites are subscribers/members, and avid readers of this journal.

I see they have chosen not to show the final combat of MVR. Had they done so it would have been interesting to see who they would have shown firing the fatal bullet.

Since I live in Germany (and understand German), I had the luxury of seeing the movie in theaters and on DVD without any complications.
I am curious to know - how much do they charge for the DVD on Amazon for people outside of Germany? I tried finding it, but had no luck. It is not particularly cheap here either (roughly 20 Euros, with used copies ranging from 6,95 and up), but I would like to see what they are charging internationally.

I've thought about how I would film this scene. I would show, in rapid secession, all the likely suspects taking their shots, including the odd rifleman on the ground. Let the viewer see that there were quite a few weapons potting away at that red triplane. After all, that's what happened. The movie is about Manfred, not Brown, Popkins or Buie.

Being in the USA, where can one get the DVD or see this movie?
Love the comments and write-ups everyone have done.
Cheers,

Well, you can most definitely buy it on the German ebay, although I don't want to know what kind of shipping costs you may incur!
I have been unable to find it on amazon.com, which seriously makes me wonder. Like I said before, the used copies here on amazon.de or ebay do not cost much, usually priced at 8 Euros.
If anyone needs help in obtaining a copy, I would be more than happy to assist in any way I can. But I am still wondering how much the people who HAVE bought the film outside of Germany have paid for it.

Thanks for the review. Sounds very "Hollywoodish" but expect I'll buy it.
