Hello Retread,

Thanks go to you and Bruno for this great short flick. My computer plays "Silent Movies" for me. Someday I am going to graduate to "Talkies"!

I did enjoy it very much, I just wonder what the pilot was saying, not to mention the sound of him turning over his engine. I did like the way his bird metamorphosed into a fine looking bi-plane.
Also, all of the pre-flight preparations were great, the glass oil drip system and all of the working controls.

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

Chabot solo is a real hoot! There are some really memorable moments in that series. I remember watching it years ago on one of the cable networks. I recently found it available on DVD in three parts - $25 each. Yummydvd.com

Yes he was a real character, and that's putting it mildly. From what I can remember, it seems as though he caused more trouble than not - crashes , causing stampedes of cavalry units on the ground etc. One story I remember is how he was overheard telling story about his exploits to which somebody commented something to the effect the old planes were simple to fly and he would be able to cope with modern planes. He of course said something to the effect of "baloney, I flew the first planes and I bloody well can fly modern ones!" Apparently someone in the RAF got wind of it ansd arranged for him to fly a Vulcan bomber.
