The Search for THE STAND

We're getting a lot of emails from pre-order customers and pending customers, so here's some news to quiet your souls...

The upcoming DVD documentary titled "The Search for THE STAND: The Final Flight of Lt. Frank Luke, Jr." is nearly complete and will be available on May 11th. You can pick one up at our 2009 book tour kickoff event or order one on the book's web site (THE STAND: The Final Flight of Lt. Frank Luke, Jr.).

The documentary was advertised as 60 minutes in length... the producer called me from their Florida studios tonight and said that it is now at 88 minutes. The final product will get a bit of trimming and settle in at around 80 minutes for the feature presentation.

The bonus disc contains all sorts of clips, interviews and features that did not make the documentary. The bonus disc alone comprises another 71 minutes of content related to Frank Luke, much of which was shot on site in France.

There is another section with 7 additional features containing material shot on site at various locations including Arizona, Dayton, Wisconsin, and many other places. All of it relates to Luke's career and untimely death in combat.

So DVD buyers will be getting nearly 3 hours of new material related to THE STAND, Frank Luke, and the 1st Pursuit Group in a two-disc collector's set. Hope you guys enjoy it. Pre-order customers... hang in there. I promise you, we're as anxious to get it out as you are to receive it.
