Company K: Any good?
I heard of this 2004 WWI film called Company K and was wondering if it was any good.

I've never seen this one before so I'd be just as interested to see what others have to say about it.

Company K (2004)
DVD Verdict Review - Company K
Impression? A serious effort to put on the screen one of the finest novels about the Great War. The review should tell you if you'll like it or not.
The important thing about the novel, aside from absolute authenticity, that that it was told from the point of view of every man in Company K, most of them three-four pages short vignettes, often told out of chronological order. They created an impressionistic overview of the entire experience of these men.
Obviously the movie tells the same story in order and focusing on fewer individuals. A more traditional narrative, and more accessible. But as the reviewer noted, this is NOT "Band of Brothers"--the C.O. is a long way from Dick Winters.
