Hello All,
I just returned home from a fun day at the Kingsbury Aerodrome (Texas). The Fokker Dr.I was rolled out and started. After a brief run-up, Roger Freeman took it out onto the grass strip for some taxi runs. Roger made several (6 or 7 as I recall) runs. On the next to last, he darn near got airborne............but backed out of the throttle at the last second. Please find the attached link to see some pics and videos. There were 20+ people there today, many taking video, so I'll post more when it becomes available.
The video labeled "Eight Good Cylinders" was taken a week or two ago, not today. I wasn't there when they ran the engine that day, but I had it on my computer, so I thought I would add it to today's photo album. Apparently, the engine was only firing on 8 cylinders that day. It was firing on all 9 today.
Enjoy
