We're still awaiting a visit from a certain AAC...
Complete with her paints and easel.

Mike,
as I've suggested to you previously, save your pennies and time your visit to coincide with the arrival of the Sopwith Camel.

Andy,
It will probably take me at least that long to save the funds. Might start selling plasma and perhaps a kidney. I will be back though.

That's the spirit my boy.
Who needs two kidneys anyway?

See you there.

Thanks for sharing the photos, never tire of photos of the Bristol Fighter, especially when it's in the air. I'm hoping to visit Shuttleworth a lot more in the future

Lucky Dog,

You are indeed! I love the pictures, the weather seems to have cooperated with you too. I especially liked the Bristol M1c.

Old Warden reminds me very much of ORA in it's heyday. I hope they don't have a similar management.

Phil

Phil,
I think ORA was modelled on Old Warden and no, the management is in very sound hands.

More OW - The Edwardians

Perhaps some of the more remarkable aircraft owned and flown by the collection are the "Edwardians" the pre-WW1 aircraft. Unfortunately, weather condition prevented them from flying on my visit (even coming out of their hangars). Some of these types were used in WW1, so I don't think it unnappropriate to post these here.

1909 Bleriot XI- Oldest AC in the world that still flies.

The Bleriot is overgoing an overhaul at this time, and will look shiny and new. I'm sure it is well deserved and neccesay. However, I rather liked the well used, castor oil stained look shown here.
