Data rot and electronic preservation
A small item on electronic preservation can be viewed here.
In this mini-documentary of CBS there is a small part on the Library of Congress and the scanning / digitizing of their vast picture collection. See the problems of standardization and the ever quicker changing technical environment, which needs everytime attention (migration) to be able to 'read' the past. Cheers Kees |
