RAFM Hendon living history event 4/5 April

For those interested, there's going to be a living history event at the RAF Museum Hendon on the weekend of 4/5 April to celebrate the 91st Birthday of the RAF. Although it seems like most of the displays will be in the WW2 era with a sprinkling of pre and post war, me and my motley crew will be doing the sole WW1 diorama, portraying 22 Squadron in late March 1918, on the eve of the birth of the RAF, with the superb Bristol F2b Fighter in the Historic Hangars. If you're coming along, be sure to say hello - i'll be the young Ack Emma (Air Mechanic) in overalls. There will also be at least one pilot, as well as other mechanics and a member of the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps on hand to answer any questions. Also, due to work going on in the Battle of Britain Hall, it looks like the Claude Grahame-White hangar housing a superb collection of WW1 aircraft will be open all day, from 1000-1800, as opposed to the normal opening times of 10-12

Cheers, Rob
