may I introduce myself?

Dear All.
Just discovered this forum, and am pleased to join. I am a professional aviator who has worked alongside several pilots who had been involved in WW2, and many who flew RAF aircraft during the early"jet age".
i have had a keen interest in WW1 aviation and will be visiting Flanders in a few weeks to pay my respects.
i look forward to using this site to expand my knowledge.
Kev

Kev- Welcome to the Forum. Hope you enjoy yourself here and have a great trip to the lowlands. Amazes me how much is still very similar to how it was in WW-I in Flanders.

Welcome to the Shooting Match Kev

Welcome aboard sir. Like you I was a career military man rising through the ranks from private to brigade commander. My father was a pilot and I used to love hanginmg around and listening to him and his buddies talk about flying.

I am writing a WWI aviation novel (very slowly that is) and have a decent little collection of pilot and plane images. So if you are looking for something in particular let me know. I share what I have.

BTW, due to my job schedule and health my turn around time on image requests is roughly two weeks. VR, Scott Price a.k.a. Roadhog

To clarify

Thanks for the welcome chaps, its good to be here. Just one thing though, dont want to mislead, but I am not ex or even current military. Closest I got was two years wearing Her Majesty's uniform while at Naval school.

Hi, Kev,

Not to worry, mate. You don't have to be a postal employee to collect stamps, and you certainly don't need a uniform to enjoy and appreciate the study of WW1 aviation. Join in, ask the questions, offer comment, give advice and assistance, and have a great time doing it!
